Dispensing Adhesive within a Middle Frame

Dispensing adhesive along the narrow edges of a curved surface frame, for adhering to the screen, serving the purpose of bonding and waterproofing.

In recent years the technology for curved screens has evolved and increased the demands on dispensing technology and processes for narrow lines along curved surfaces.  As products become integral to our lives so does the need for waterproffing, a very high IP standard.  This level of protection places high levels of requirements on the dispensing process and fluids selected.

Process Characteristic

The process of dispensing adhesive on the central frame involves high-level bonding and waterproofing requirements.

Accurate fluid deposition on the central frame demands precise control over motion system as well as precise and repeatable dispense technology. Traditional three-axis dispensing systems are no longer sufficient to follow these complex product profiles. Motion systems for complex profiles have evolved to include an A-axis for flipping and C-axis for rotation in conjunction with XYZ motion.


Axxon Mycronic offers the independently developed AM300Q & AM300D five-axis coordinated dispensing machines. These machines feature powerful motion control capabilities, precise positioning accuracy, and advanced 3D line laser dispensing trajectory guidance technology, which effectively addresses the challenges of central frame dispensing.


These machines include robust spatial trajectory and are equipped with 3D line laser guidance. This technology enables automatic compensation of the XYZ dispense valve based on a single scan, automatic recognition, and compensation for differences in incoming product materials, and drives the dispensing control system to automatically dispense adhesive with simple and intelligent spatial trajectory conversions, ensuring precise positioning.


Furthermore, the dispensing process demands high precision from the mechanical components and assembly accuracy of the motion mechanism itself. The motion modules of the equipment utilize linear motors to provide the highest level of positioning accuracy.


Finally, in-house developed dispense valves are integrated with the motion control system for balance between motion and valve dispense speed.  This harmony between motion and dispensing elimiates variations in dispense dimension commonly seen with non-synchronized motion and dispense valves.  Currently, mature applications of piezoelectric valve dispensing technology enable precise control of core parameters such as adhesive weight and high aspect ratio.
